Is there any coorelation between which controller sent the data and the median delta time? by Andrew
No, there is no correlation between the controller and the median time. Both Controllers A and B are within a 1% difference between the median time and 24 hours (86,400 seconds). Controller A's time is 99.85% of a day and Controller B's median time is 99.995% of a day. This shows me that both controllers are functioning properly for the most part. We can draw no correlation between which controller sent the data and the amount of bad data that was received . What we can see is that when data is asked to be sent from Controller B instead of the primary Controller A, there is no significant change in the median delta time. From this data I believe that it is unnecessary to continue to retrieve Controller information. This would reduce the size of the data that Brian is collecting, or would allow him to replace the Controller section of data with one that may provide more insight into what is really going on .
Is there a relationship between delta time and software version? by Parker
I would explain this as a question Tableau couldn't, or at least couldn't easily, visualize. The graph shows each group of software versions and gives each version two bars, the average delta time in blue and the average median time in orange. In order to show the median, which was much smaller than most averages, I had to use logarithmic scaling to get any kind of comparison between the two values. Most of the bars in the graph show their medians' around the 24 hours mark, but averages usually were much greater than the mean due to the logarithmic scaling. This shows that most software versions had data points that were huge, meaning that each software version had significant issues. Due to these consistently bad results, I was unable to show any correlation between software version and delta time without using custom scripts to do more intensive filtering.
